Bocas Biodiversity: Birding & Wildlife Eco tours by @stacebird

About @stacebird

Hi! I’m Bird — a biologist, naturalist, and independent eco-guide living in Bocas del Toro. I’ve guided six seasons in the archipelago and spent over 15 years studying birds and wildlife across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Central America.

I offer birding, wildlife, snorkeling, hiking, beach and bat cave as mindful nature-immersion tours, all grounded in ecology, conservation, and a deep respect for this archipelago.

My tours move at nature’s pace — slow, calm, and deeply observant nature immersion tours designed to help you connect and better understand about the ecosystems that amaze and inspire me every day.

As we explore nature, we’ll notice the life in the mangroves, hear monkeys calling from the forest canopy and take in the rainbow array of colors and vast diversity of life on the reef. In every tour, we will take our time, listen, look closely, and let curiosity lead. With patience, intention and respect, the forest or reef will come alive on its own terms.

Every tour also supports a youth eco-guide program I run with indigenous Ngäbe families and students, whom I call my “co-guides” as they realize their incredible value as guides, picking out even the most obscured bird or animal in the forest.

If you want to truly experience the true Bocas — not just see it — I’d be delighted to share with you this Caribbean archipelago that I so fondly call home, and a beloved one at that!
