The Red Frogs of Bocas

I am absolutely honored to have my writing in our local archipelago-wide newspaper, The Bocas Breeze Newspaper!

Take a gander and just know that I’m just as I always am, overly expoundful (is that a word, asks the journalist) but it’s because I want to share about their wild life history of the Strawberry Poison-Dart Frog (Oophaga pumilio). The more we know about how easily their habitat can be destroyed (and already is by continual drought) the better, education leads to awareness which leads to eco-mindful conservation.

Please click below and have a read!

These are all the same species of frog, and this collage displays a whole array of color morphs that occur in independent populations throughout the archipelago.
